George Maddaloni is the chief technology officer, Operations, at Mastercard and a member of the company’s Management Committee. In this role, George leads the Operations, Network and Employee Digital Experience organization (ONE) through the delivery of operational performance and the modernization of infrastructure and platform services that deliver foundational elements for the current critical real-time payments network that Mastercard runs. George has a passion for developing high-performing teams with a track record of successfully transforming cultures through people, processes and tools.
George has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services and technology industries. Prior to Mastercard, he worked at AIG as the chief technology officer, where he was responsible for delivering computing, cloud, network, employee and identity access services to AIG businesses. He also partnered closely with business CIOs on both the technology modernization strategy and business programs agenda. Earlier in his career, he served as managing director, Americas Infrastructure and Global Network Operations, at UBS, in addition to spending 20 years in various positions at AT&T.
George’s leadership acumen garnered him a spot as one of the top 10 financial CTOs in The Financial Technology Report.
George is a member of the Technology Business Management Council Board of Directors, CNBC Technology Executive Council, BT Advisory Board and Palo Alto Advisory Board. Additionally, he serves as the vice chairman for the PowerMyLearning National Board and on the SustainableIT.org Board of Directors. George earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, an M.S. in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, and an MBA in Finance from Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business.
