New Center of Excellence Launches 12-Week Certification Course For Business Leaders
Emerging technologies, a changing consumer landscape, the need for upskilling, and the importance of purpose. These are just some of the real-world pressures facing marketers today and the inspiration behind the creation of the Mastercard Marketing Institute. Beginning today Mastercard’s Institute launches its exclusive certification course for business leaders.
Led by Raja Rajamannar, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and President of Healthcare, the course, titled From Fundamentals to the Future: An MBA-Standard Marketing Program, features 12 lessons, including on-demand modules and interactive Q&As delivered by brand marketing experts in an engaging, interactive format. The class is currently being offered to senior marketing leaders and rising stars, as well as a wide-ranging level of talent across functions at Mastercard and its partners.
“As Mastercard continues to equip its workforce with the necessary training and resources needed to compete in our evolving business, the Mastercard Marketing Institute has been created specifically to help leaders at all levels navigate and thrive in the ever-changing marketing landscape,” said Rajamannar. “The first certification course pushes executives’ thinking, provides new perspectives, and helps bridge the tried and tested marketing ideas with the knowledge of newer disciplines, which every marketer and business head must now have in their skill set.”
Joining Rajamannar, who is also the author of Quantum Marketing published last year, are two leading authorities in the brand marketing space. Mark Ritson is a leading marketing professor and columnist with more than 20 years of experience who taught at some of the world’s top business schools, including London Business School, Melbourne Business School, and MIT Sloan. Afhdel Aziz is Chief Purpose Officer of Conspiracy of Love, a brand purpose consultancy. This team designed the lessons focusing on market orientation, segmentation, brand codes, brand purpose, product development, tactical execution, and much more.
“As the marketing function evolves at lightning speed, our goal is to help our marketers better understand the landscape, and provide them with the right tools so that we can drive more meaningful relationships with consumers. This course is helping us achieve just that – it’s extremely thorough, inspiring and actionable,” commented Vladislav Kreynin, Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Sber.
Rajamannar added, “The bespoke curriculum provides an applied training program in progressive marketing that will help drive growth for brands grappling with how to blend new marketing concepts, like multi-sensory and brand purpose, with traditional approaches. Our coursework is designed to help upgrade the skills and capabilities of our participants, whose experience ranges from senior marketers to rising marketing leadership. This training and upskilling will help them thrive as the function continues to change with unprecedented speed and disruption.”
From Fundamentals to the Future: An MBA-Standard Marketing Program is accredited by the Continuous Professional Development Standards (CPD) Office. Participants will complete an exam and receive CPD credits.
