Since 2010, Mastercard has proudly collaborated with Stand Up To Cancer to support groundbreaking cancer research and treatment. Through consumer-driven campaigns, we’ve raised over $75 million — helping fund work that turns patients into survivors.
*Promotion begins at 12:00 a.m. EST on July 15, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on August 22, 2025, or when the maximum US $5,000,000 donation goal is reached, whichever comes first (“Promotion Period”). Qualifying purchases can only be made at or from a qualifying U.S. Restaurant and U.S. Grocery Store. U.S. Restaurant and U.S. Grocery Store qualification will each be determined and defined by the applicable Mastercard Merchant Category Code. A Merchant Category Code is used to classify a business by the types of goods or services it provides. Debit PIN, International transactions and transactions processed on a non-Mastercard operated network are ineligible. For each qualifying and reported U.S. Restaurant and U.S. Grocery Store (as defined by the applicable Mastercard Merchant Category Code) purchase made with a U.S. issued Mastercard as either a contactless or an e-commerce (online – website/app) transaction, a one cent (US $0.01) donation will be made by Mastercard to Stand Up To Cancer, up to the maximum US $5,000,000 donation goal.
Contactless-enabled Mastercards are accepted at participating U.S. locations that have contactless enabled at checkout. Visit mastercard.com/tapandgolocator for more details. Mastercard relies on third parties to classify a transaction. In the event that a qualifying contactless transaction is not classified as a contactless transaction or under a qualifying Mastercard Merchant Category Code by a third party and reported to Mastercard, but would otherwise have been a qualifying transaction, the transaction will not count as a qualifying transaction nor be eligible for the one cent (US $0.01) donation by Mastercard to Stand Up To Cancer. Mastercard may suspend or terminate this promotion at any time in its sole discretion. Stand Up To Cancer is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. ↩
