Mastercard launches La Colección Diez de Diez, honors fans with first-ever Lionel Messi jersey swap

     


     

Continuing its tradition of delivering Priceless Experiences, Mastercard connects cardholders to their passions with the limited-edition, Guillermo Andrade-designed 10 out of 10 Collection, commemorating the 10 defining chapters of Messi’s historic soccer career.


In celebration of its longstanding partnership with global soccer legend Lionel Messi, Mastercard will be sharing stories from select cardholders who are passionate soccer fans as they get to experience one of the sport’s most cherished traditions — the jersey swap — with Messi for the first time ever.

Mastercard is unveiling La Colección Diez de Diez, a limited-edition collection of 10 custom designed jerseys developed in collaboration with renowned creative director Guillermo Andrade. The designs from La Colección Diez de Diez reflect 10 pivotal chapters that have defined Messi’s career and turn these jerseys into coveted pieces of memorabilia – an immortalization of Messi’s legacy and the magic he brings to the world’s stage.

In addition to the jersey swap, Mastercard cardholders will have an opportunity to enter for a chance to win a limited-edition jersey through an exclusive Messi jersey sweepstakes from December 1-7, 2025.¹ The first design in the collection, inspired by Messi’s humble beginnings in Rosario, Argentina, captures the spirit and dreams of an icon in the making.

Guatemalan-born Andrade, founder of streetwear brand 424 and globally recognized for redefining the crossover of sport and fashion, brings his innovative approach and cultural influence to the project. Andrade’s work was featured in 424’s AW25 collection, which paid homage to legendary soccer kits. 

For more than three decades, Mastercard has championed the growth of soccer through longstanding partnerships with Copa América (1992), UEFA Champions League (1994), and most recently, CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina (2023). Signature initiatives – from “Team of Leo’s” and The Pledge Ball to collaborations – highlighting Mastercard’s commitment to harnessing the power of soccer to inspire fans and communities around the world.
