Nordic startups named winners of Mastercard Lighthouse Spring 2026

May 22, 2026 | Stockholm, Sweden

Mastercard has announced the winners of the leading startup partnership program Mastercard Lighthouse in the Nordics and Baltics, consisting of two parallel classes: FINITIV, for fintech companies, and MASSIV, for startups in sustainability and social impact tech.

Swedish Manje Health is the MASSIV program winner and Swedish Preventum Labs is the overall FINITIV winner.

Manje Health  is building compliant cross-border health payment infrastructure enabling families to pay hospitals, pharmacies and insurers, in a reliable and cost-effective way.

“Winning Mastercard Lighthouse validates what we have believed from the beginning - that healthcare-linked remittances are becoming critical financial infrastructure, and Mastercard’s global ecosystem and commitment to innovation are accelerating our mission to turn remittances into clinical outcomes.”Prudence Persson, Co-founder & CEO, Manje Health

Preventum Labs helps the insurance industry, SME companies and financial institutions detect and prevent fraud before it happens.

“AI is reshaping global finance. But trust will define the companies that shape what comes next. We’re proud to build that future together with Mastercard Lighthouse.” – Max Hemmingsson, CEO & Founder of Preventum Labs

During the program, the participating startups and early scaleups have been working closely with partner banks, investors, corporate partners, advisors and Mastercard.

FINITIV partners include Swedbank, SEB, OP, DNB, Danske Bank, Resurs, SpareBank 1 Østlandet and Nets/Nexi Group. MASSIV partners include Swedbank, Danske Bank, Nets/Nexi Group, UNDP, VNTRS and Synch, among others.

Both companies will now have the opportunity to apply to pitch their business to Start Path, Mastercard’s global start-up engagement program. Additionally, all participants become part of the Mastercard Lighthouse alumni network, which remains active through ongoing communication and meetups.

“Working with the Mastercard Lighthouse Spring 2026 FINITIV and MASSIV cohorts has been a true pleasure. Congratulations to Preventum Labs, the winner of the fintech track, for its creative application of AI through a multi-agent engine that addresses evolving industry needs, and to Manje Health, winner of the impact-tech track, for delivering reliable cross-border healthcare and health insurance payment solutions in Africa”, says Mats Taraldsson, Head of Fintech and Impact Tech Engagement at Mastercard Northern Europe
