areeba, a Lebanese fintech and payments company, wanted to create a simple, secure and low-cost product to encourage digital payments over cash, which is the predominant means of payment in Lebanon.

areeba worked with Mastercard’s Digital Labs team to develop a product that would give consumers a solution for transferring money, paying bills and paying merchants using QR codes.

How areeba created a high-fidelity prototype with Digital Labs

With Mastercard’s experts, areeba took the concept to a high-fidelity prototype in just 5 days.

areeba participated in a 5-day rapid prototyping sprint with Mastercard’s team of design thinking and payments experts.

At the end of the sprint, the co-creation team developed a prototype, pitch presentation and advertorial product video for Zaky.
