Five high-potential sustainability and social impact companies across Nordics & Baltics join the Mastercard Lighthouse MASSIV fall 2025 partnership program

Lighthouse MASSIV, Mastercard’s impact tech partnership program, has a mission to help as many people as possible globally to live more secure and prosperous lives. The program is pleased to announce its 2025 fall cohort, featuring five startups from Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Denmark that are dedicated to sustainability and social impact

Mastercard Lighthouse MASSIV is a unique free program designed to support impact-driven tech companies in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals through strategic partnerships. By connecting promising Nordic and Baltic startups with major organizations, the program helps sustainable innovators achieve global reach. The 2025 fall cohort includes three startups focused on sustainability and two addressing global social challenges, reflecting the Lighthouse MASSIV’s drive to turn vision into real-world impact

Meet the fall class of Mastercard Lighthouse MASSIV:

GraphoGame – winner of the 2023 UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize, GraphoGame is a Finnish edtech pioneer transforming how children learn to read worldwide. With a portfolio of literacy games in 17 languages already reaching over 10 million users, and a unique data platform that helps educators track progress and detect reading difficulties before it’s too late, GraphoGame is ensuring equitable access to literacy as a foundation for learning and inclusion.

Planboo – Founded in Stockholm, Planboo provides technology to mentor, monitor, and monetise Biochar Carbon Removal for both carbon insetting and offsetting. By converting agricultural residues like coffee prunings, cotton stalks, and cocoa husks into biochar, Planboo’s projects deliver permanent carbon removal while improving soils and increasing farmer revenues in the tropics.

Bisly – Bisly is an Estonian Proptech scaleup delivering scalable and affordable building automation solutions, making energy-efficiency through automation available for the mass market. Their AI powered solutions are tailored for multi-residential and light commercial buildings, where scalability and cost-efficiency are critical. The platform and hardware are designed for both new developments and retrofits, enabling real estate owners to meet rising regulatory and sustainability demands with ease. With their mission to make sustainable living the standard, Bisly’s team is driving the transformation of real estate across Europe.

“Through Lighthouse MASSIV, we hope to build the right foundations for our next stage of growth — from implementing an online payment solution to collect SaaS fees across Europe, to forging high-level partnerships with Nordic real estate developers. Traced Systems – Traced Systems from Denmark, is an EU-backed platform that transforms supply chain data into quality information through Digital Product Passports, equipping brands and manufacturers to prove authenticity, meet regulatory demands, and enable circular business models. Headquartered in Copenhagen, they are pioneering scalable, industry-agnostic solutions that help European companies and EU exporters build trust, advance sustainability, and automate compliance through smarter supply chains.

Cirkly – Based in Sweden and inspired by traditional ROSCAs (Rotating Savings and Credit Association), Cirkly empowers individuals—especially immigrants and young adults—to save and access funds more effectively through modern, digital savings circles. By turning community trust into a secure, structured system, Cirkly offers a smarter way to save and borrow together.

The five companies chosen for the program were selected based on their dedication and ability to scale sustainable partnerships. Mastercard seeks to strengthen these collaborations in line with its vision of building a more prosperous and secure world.

As part of the Mastercard Lighthouse MASSIV program, startups receive feedback and support from UNDP, Swedbank, Danske Bank, Synch and individual advisory board members with diverse and impressive backgrounds from organizations and firms like VNTRS and Swedish Red Cross. These board members represent sustainability experts, investors, and executives, each with their own global network:
