Latin America EXECUTIVE Leadership Team

Carlo Enrico is President of Mastercard’s Latin America and Caribbean region and a member of the company’s management committee. Carlo is responsible for leading Mastercard’s strategy and operations across 45 countries and territories, and driving transformational efforts across digital payments, financial and social inclusion, products and services.

Kiki Del Valle is executive vice president of Market Development in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) at Mastercard. In her role, she oversees the region’s operations and customer-facing activities including market transformation strategy, business development, and relationship management with fintechs, merchants, digital partners, and payment service providers. Prior to this role, Kiki was senior vice president of Digital Partnerships, where she was responsible for Mastercard’s digital strategy with fintechs, digital merchants, and startups, expanding Mastercard’s digital footprint, managing relationships with key players, and driving transformational efforts in Latin America.

Since joining the company in 2008, Kiki has held several leadership roles, including Digital Future delivering product innovation and accelerating digital adoption of tech infrastructure launching global wallet solutions – Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsumg Pay – and managing Mastercard’s partnership model with mobile network operators globally. 

Her passions include championing gender balance efforts serving as Mastercard LAC’s Executive Sponsor for the Women Leadership Network, and promoting inclusive growth. In 2020, she created the Tech for Good Partnership in Latin America, a private-to-private partnership to accelerate digital and financial inclusion efforts.

Before joining Mastercard in 2008, Kiki held roles in finance and new product development at The Home Depot and General Electric. She is a board member of the Damas Foundation of Puerto Rico. She holds a master’s degree in business with a concentration in finance and strategy from Emory University.

Walter currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of the Product and Innovation Division for Mastercard Latin America and the Caribbean. In this role, he is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies focused on consumer products, digital products and innovation, acceptance solutions, small business solutions and consumer experience.

Roberto Ramirez Laverde is currently Senior Vice president of marketing and communications for the Latin America and the Caribbean region, at Mastercard. In his position, he is responsible for leading the positioning of the brand, the development of the Priceless.com platform and the implementation of the brand's experiential marketing, including the Sonora Brand.

Laura has been with Mastercard for the past 10 years, currently as Divisional President for Mexico and Central American markets, responsible for leading the company to achieve significant growth within a very competitive and dynamic environment.

Her leadership has been key to deliver solutions that allow Mastercard to become the partner of choice providing access to the world’s fastest payments network connecting consumers, financial institutions, merchants, governments, and businesses. Building a more connected world and driving inclusion through action.

Considered as one of the most relevant women leaders in Mexico, she has driven innovation and technology through new business models that better serve the needs and address the challenges of the local markets.

Laura is an advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion, she is focused on generating a positive impact in the community. Driving the company’s values and purpose “Doing Well by Doing Good”.

Within Mastercard, Laura has transitioned through different roles including Country Manager for Mexico, Senior Vice-President of Loyalty & Engagement for Latin America, and Senior Vice-President of Sales for Mexico, all which have supported her ability to create a strong vision to accelerate market growth and solidify Mastercard's leadership.

Throughout her career, Laura has been recognized as one of the most powerful women in business in several rankings and publications, such as Forbes and Expansión. Lauded by the Women Economic Forum Iberoamérica for her distinguished work in driving financial inclusion through technology. Laura is also a member of the Board of Directors of VivaAerobus and Save the Children in Mexico and is co-lead for the 30% Club chapter in México.

Laura Cruz is an economist and holds a bachelor’s degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) as well as an MBA from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. and is certified by IPADE CEO Management program.

Marcelo Tangioni, is President for Mastercard Division Brazil.

Previously, as the President of the Caribbean Division, Marcelo oversees Mastercard strategy and operations in 27 islands, forming LAC’s most diverse region. Prior to the current role, he was Country Manager for the Caribbean for one year and a half. He joined Mastercard in Brazil, as a Marketing Director and then became responsible for Core Products, Loyalty and Digital Payments for the Geo South Division. During his tenure at Mastercard, Marcelo also had leading roles in our Global Headquarters, in Purchase, NY, and led Core Products for LAC, based out of Miami.
