Latin America EXECUTIVE Leadership Team
Carlo Enrico is President of Mastercard’s Latin America and Caribbean region and a member of the company’s management committee. Carlo is responsible for leading Mastercard’s strategy and operations across 45 countries and territories, and driving transformational efforts across digital payments, financial and social inclusion, products and services.
João Pedro is President of Mastercard Brazil & South Cone since September 2013, besides being a member of the executive committee for the Latin America and Caribbean and also is part of Mastercard’s Advisor Board. João is responsible for leading Mastercard’s strategy and operations across 5 countries, and driving transformational efforts across digital payments, financial and social inclusion, products and services.
Marcela is President for the Andean Division. In this role, she is responsible for the design and implementation of strategies that promote safe, reliable and simple technological solutions for the markets covered by the division.
Marcela has been part of the Mastercard team for more than 11 years. Prior to being President of the Andean Division, she served as President of the company for Colombia and Ecuador, a position from which she worked to strengthen the company's relations with clients in those countries.
As the President of the Caribbean Division, Marcelo oversees Mastercard strategy and operations in 27 islands, forming LAC’s most diverse region. Prior to the current role, he was Country Manager for the Caribbean for one year and a half. He joined Mastercard in Brazil, as a Marketing Director and then became responsible for Core Products, Loyalty and Digital Payments for the Geo South Division. During his tenure at Mastercard, Marcelo also had leading roles in our Global Headquarters, in Purchase, NY, and led Core Products for LAC, based out of Miami.
Kiki Del Valle is executive vice president of Market Development in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) at Mastercard. In her role, she oversees the region’s operations and customer-facing activities including market transformation strategy, business development, and relationship management with fintechs, merchants, digital partners, and payment service providers. Prior to this role, Kiki was senior vice president of Digital Partnerships, where she was responsible for Mastercard’s digital strategy with fintechs, digital merchants, and startups, expanding Mastercard’s digital footprint, managing relationships with key players, and driving transformational efforts in Latin America.
Since joining the company in 2008, Kiki has held several leadership roles, including Digital Future delivering product innovation and accelerating digital adoption of tech infrastructure launching global wallet solutions – Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsumg Pay – and managing Mastercard’s partnership model with mobile network operators globally.
Her passions include championing gender balance efforts serving as Mastercard LAC’s Executive Sponsor for the Women Leadership Network, and promoting inclusive growth. In 2020, she created the Tech for Good Partnership in Latin America, a private-to-private partnership to accelerate digital and financial inclusion efforts.
Before joining Mastercard in 2008, Kiki held roles in finance and new product development at The Home Depot and General Electric. She is a board member of the Damas Foundation of Puerto Rico. She holds a master’s degree in business with a concentration in finance and strategy from Emory University.
Roberto Ramirez Laverde is currently Senior Vice president of marketing and communications for the Latin America and the Caribbean region, at Mastercard. In his position, he is responsible for leading the positioning of the brand, the development of the Priceless.com platform and the implementation of the brand's experiential marketing, including the Sonora Brand.
Walter currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of the Product and Innovation Division for Mastercard Latin America and the Caribbean. In this role, he is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies focused on consumer products, digital products and innovation, acceptance solutions, small business solutions and consumer experience.
