Mastercard Opens Lounge at Kyiv Railway Station
January 29, 2026Mastercard is expanding opportunities for more comfortable travel for Ukrainians by opening a lounge area at Kyiv’s Southern Railway Station. Mastercard Lounge ONE: Kyiv offers everything needed for a convenient waiting experience, including dedicated spaces for work and relaxation, food and beverages, luggage storage, and other amenities.
The lounge covers an area of 400 square metres and accommodates up to 90 guests. It is located on the third floor of the station and can be accessed via stairs, escalator, or elevator. The lounge offers barrier-free access, addressing the needs of people with reduced mobility and people with disabilities. The lounge operates 24/7, seven days a week; however, for safety reasons, it will be temporarily closed during air raid alerts.
Complimentary access to the lounge is available to holders of World Elite Mastercard® and World Mastercard® Black Edition cards issued by any bank in Ukraine[1].
“Today, Ukrainian Railways is a critical transport artery of Ukraine, and we are proud to have been its partner for many years in creating convenient digital services for users and additional opportunities for comfortable travel. We believe this lounge will become a place of comfort and recovery for travellers — a space for meetings and warm moments even in times of extraordinary challenges. We are grateful to Ukrainian Railways for our continued cooperation in launching important initiatives for Ukrainians,” said Inga Andreieva, Country Manager at Mastercard in Ukraine and Moldova.
Guests can enter the lounge by presenting an eligible Mastercard card at the entrance. Access to the lounge is provided on an individual basis and requires a valid train ticket for the day of the visit. Children under the age of seven may visit the lounge free of charge when accompanied by the cardholder. Guests have access to all zones and services during the standard stay of 1.5 hours, with the option to extend the visit for an additional fee. The lounge is also pet-friendly, allowing guests to stay with their pets.

At the same time, 47% of respondents travel as much as or more than before the full-scale invasion, and 39% prioritize comfort and service when traveling. The main reasons for travel include visiting family and friends, rest and recovery, exploring new destinations, and business trips.
In partnership with Ukrainian Railways, Mastercard has implemented a number of services aimed at improving travel comfort. In 2022 the company supported the launch of the Ukrainian Railways mobile app, which became an important step in simplifying the ticket purchasing process for millions of passengers. Today, the app has 6 million users, with more than 50 million tickets purchased through it to date. The app is also adapted for people with visual impairments.
