Andras Kovacs
Senior Vice President, Services Business Development, Eastern Europe Middle East and Africa,
Mastercard

Andras Kovacs is the senior vice president of Services Business Development for the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) region at Mastercard.

He leads the regional team responsible for building partnerships with the company’s customers in 81 countries across domains such as consulting, marketing, loyalty, data, platforms and cybersecurity. Previously, he held several positions across Mastercard’s Services Business Development function.

Andras has over 20 years’ experience in the finance, banking and payments industry. Prior to joining Mastercard, he worked with McKinsey & Company as a strategy consultant in Budapest and Dubai, focusing on payments, digital banking and telecommunication. 

Earlier, Andras led the UAE operations for the SME remittance fintech startup Ebury (now part of Santander Group). He was also the deputy CEO and chief operations officer of AXA Bank Hungary, where he spearheaded digital transformation efforts. He started his career in investment banking with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Deutsche Bank in London.

Andras holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA in International Economics & Management from Bocconi University in Milan.
