Ahmed Abdel-Karim Hussein
Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Communications, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa

Ahmed Abdel-Karim Hussein is the Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Communications, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) for Mastercard. He leads the company’s brand strategy across the region’s 81 markets. 

He joined Mastercard in May 2024, bringing over 25 years of marketing, commercial and communications expertise from across various sectors, including financial services, fast moving consumer goods, and merchants. 

Ahmed is passionate about customer-centricity and disruptive strategies that transform businesses. His areas of expertise span consumer and business marketing, communications, brand management, customer experience, insights and analytics, loyalty and digital. At Mastercard he is focused on creating customer value via amplifying the possibilities of ‘Priceless’ across channels and activations. 

Throughout his career, Ahmed gained diverse experience in setting customer and consumer standards and global best practices across developed, developing, and emerging markets, working across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, for companies like HSBC, PepsiCo, and Adnoc. 

Ahmed’s work has been recognized with several prestigious industry awards across the UK, Middle East and Africa including The Effies and Lynx. His keen ability to build agile cultures and to realize full human potential, also motivated him to gain certification as a Neurolinguistic Programming and Life Coach Practitioner. 

Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Economics with High Honors from the American University in Cairo with continued executive education certifications from top business schools in the USA and the UK.
