February 12, Amman, Jordan - MasterCard announced its collaboration with Mercy Corps, a global humanitarian aid NGO, to launch MicroMentor in the Middle East to support entrepreneurs in the Middle East and North Africa and provide the tools to enable them to drive growth their projects and create more job opportunities through this free online platform specialized in providing business guidance and counseling services. The platform was launched today during a special ceremony under the patronage of His Excellency the Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Wissam Al-Rabadi.

On this occasion, Anita Ramachandran, CEO of MicroMentor, said : “Small and medium enterprises are the most important engines of economic development in the world, representing more than 90% of companies and providing about two-thirds of jobs globally. However, entrepreneurs often work in isolation and struggle to access the resources that help them build and develop their businesses.
