众志成城抗疫情 万事达卡在行动
2020年3月3日 | 北京，中国北京，2020年3月3日——在全国上下、社会各界的共同努力下，当前新冠肺炎疫情防控形势正趋向积极。为支持中国抗击疫情，万事达卡发起“中国加油”活动，第一时间捐物募资。
万事达卡中国区总裁常青表示：“财新智库在发布1月《万事达卡财新BBD中国新经济指数》分析报告后指出，新冠疫情的爆发势必将对中国经济产生可观冲击，短期内对新经济行业的重创更是必然。为帮助业界伙伴和持卡人应对疫情冲击，万事达卡响应中央及各级政府政策措施，主动发起‘中国加油’活动并已做好充分准备携手社会各界共克时艰。”
作为“中国加油”行动的一部分，万事达卡第一时间携手中国妇女发展基金会捐款200万元人民币，除了用于支援湖北地区的抗疫医疗物资采购，其中的100万元被用于定向支持中国妇女发展基金会发起的“加油！抗疫天使！”项目，关爱奋战在武汉一线的医务工作者及其家庭。
此外，万事达卡也将于近日发起全球员工捐款活动并对募得款项进行1比1配资；最终将通过非营利性国际组织Give2Asia（赠与亚洲）助力疫情防控。
与此同时，在公司全球数据中心所在地美国圣路易斯，万事达卡员工还通过当地中华教育中心向黄冈市中心医院捐赠了一台呼吸机。
