HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard – Win Tickets to The 155th Golf Open at St Andrews (‘The Open’)

By entering the HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard – Win Tickets to The Open (the ‘prize draw’) you’re agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Who’s running the prize draw?

HSBC UK Bank plc (‘we, us’) and Mastercard Europe Services Limited (together the “Promoters”) are running the prize draw.

Can I enter the prize draw?

To enter you need to:

  • live in the UK
  • be 18+
  • hold a valid HSBC Premier card
  • be onsite in the HSBC Premier Lounge at The Open 2026.

You can’t enter if:

  • you work for us or Mastercard
  • you’ve been involved with organising or running the prize draw or
  • you’re entering for someone else.
  • you’re not an HSBC Premier Mastercard Credit Card holder at time of the prize draw

Your entry won’t count if you don’t meet the above. You’ll be disqualified if you stop meeting these criteria at any time before the prize draw ends (even if your entry was valid when you entered).

How do I enter?

This prize draw is free to enter.

You can request to enter the prize draw from 10:00 BST on 12 July 2026 until 17:00 BST on 19 July 2026. We won’t accept entries received after the closing date. You can opt out of the prize draw by emailing mastercard.promotions@biggroup.co.uk.

You must be onsite in the HSBC Premier Lounge at the event and request to be entered into the prize draw according to the entry mechanics communicated at the event. You will be eligible for the prize draw if you satisfy any one of the following categories and the conditions given below:

  • You are a Premier World Elite Mastercard cardholder, or
  • You are a Premier Mastercard Credit Cardholder who upgrades to Premier World Elite Mastercard by Friday 04 September 2026, by following the application/upgrade process as communicated at the event, or
  • You are a Premier Current Account customer who applies for a Premier Mastercard Credit Card or Premier Mastercard World Elite Credit Card by Friday 04 September 2026 by following the application/upgrade process as communicated at the event

You can only enter the prize draw once.

What is the prize?

The prize is 1 x Prize available to win for 2 adults aged 18 or over (one winner and one guest), consisting of:

  • 2 tickets to The Golf Open, 2027 at St Andrews, Scotland on Sunday 18 July 2027
  • Access to the Mastercard Patron’s Pavilion at the course
  • Two nights’ hotel accommodation on Saturday 17 July 2027 and Sunday 18 July 2027 at a hotel in Scotland chosen by Mastercard including breakfast & two dinners

All prizes are subject to availability.

If you win, you’re responsible for any tax liabilities.

If we can’t offer the prize, we’ll give you another prize of equal or greater value. We can’t:

  • exchange the prize for cash
  • swap the prize for something else or
  • give your prize to someone else.

How will winners be chosen?

The prize draw will take place on or before Friday 16 October 2026 and the winner (and some reserve winners) will be selected at random from all eligible entries using an independent third-party computer system. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their email and phone connections during this time in case they are a winner.

The winner will have 14 days from first being contacted to accept their prize by following the instructions provided in the winning email notification. Failure to do this, or if the winner is ineligible, or rejects their prize, will result in the prize being forfeited and the Promoters will award the prize to a reserve winner selected at the same time as the original winner. The process will be repeated until prize is awarded. The decision of the Promoters is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Mastercard’s agency The Big Group Limited will contact the winner to commence fulfilment of the prize after completion of the verification process.

How will I know if I’ve won?

If you win, we’ll try to contact you within 30 days of the closing date.

If you don’t claim your prize within 14 days of being contacted, we can give it to the next runner-up.

What else do I need to know?

You’re responsible for complying with any terms and conditions issued by the manufacturer or supplier of a prize.

We can change these terms or cancel the prize draw without telling you in advance if:

  • required by law, or
  • there are reasons beyond our control, or
  • there’s a fair or valid reason.

Where eligibility depends on you opening or upgrading a product:

  • upgrades/applications are subject to our standard eligibility criteria, credit assessment and approval processes
  • applying does not guarantee approval
  • if your upgrade/application is not completed/approved by the time of the prize draw, you will not be eligible

Conditions

You can find out the surnames and county of the winners by emailing mastercard.promotions@biggroup.co.uk. If you win, we may give your surname and county to anyone who requests this information, including our regulators. You can tell us if you don’t want us to do this or if you want to limit the amount of information that we make available about a winning entry.

All other products and services provided to the winner will be provided subject to the terms and conditions of each such provider. Neither the Promoters nor their agents will have any liability in relation thereto, and any dispute arising from accommodation or services must be taken up with such providers.

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoters and their agents are not liable or responsible for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising from or caused by the weather, acts of God, war, accident, pandemic or epidemic and any related government action or any other government restrictions or regulations, or from an act or omission of any individual or condition beyond their control.

The Promoters and their agents do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the prize draw or as a result of accepting the prize or any element of the prize. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoters and their agents are not liable or responsible for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising from or caused by the weather, acts of God, war, accident, pandemic or epidemic and any related government action or any other government restrictions or regulations, or from an act or omission of any individual or condition beyond its control. If fulfilment of any of the prize elements is delayed or is not able to be delivered for any reason whatsoever, the winner will be notified by the Promoters as soon as possible.

The winner and their guest take part in the prize at their own risk and to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Promoters will have no liability in relation to the conduct of the winner or guest, nor in connection with any circumstances outside its control with respect to the prize once fulfilled. The winner and their guest are subject to the policies and terms and conditions of any and all third parties involved in the fulfilment of a prize. Any terms and conditions applicable to the prize have been provided to the fullest extent possible.

The winner is responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guest whilst taking the prize. The Promoters reserves the right in their absolute discretion to exclude the winner and/or their guest from participation in any aspect of the prize if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoters or any companies associated with the prize or if the winner and/or their guest act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoters, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.

By accepting the prize, the winner and their guest agree to adhere to The Open regulations and the Terms and Conditions of the tickets that form part of their prize. If you win, we might ask you if we can use your information and entry in any promotional activities or publicity linked to the prize draw

We will use your information to run the prize draw and award prizes as an independent data controller.
