Keith Douglas –  Executive Vice President

Keith Douglas joined Mastercard Payment Gateway Services as Executive Vice President in June 2018. As the leader of our Gateway team, Keith will have responsibility for design and execution of our international Gateway Services strategy in strong partnership with our key regional stakeholders.

Prior to joining the team, Keith spent the previous four years in North America as the Segment Leader and Executive Vice President, Regional Banks. Keith brings over 25 years of financial industry experience, including marketing sales and product management experience.

Keith holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Keith graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) degree from Trinity College in Dublin.


Tim Fletcher –  Senior Vice President, Commercial Asia Pacific

Tim joined Mastercard Payment Gateway Services in 2007.  Since then Tim has held leadership roles in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America.  Tim is currently leading the gateway business in the Asia Pacific region where he is responsible for the design and execution of the regional product strategy in partnership with the sales and delivery organisations.

Prior to joining Mastercard Tim worked at Keycorp as the general manager for smartcard technologies and before that held product management and technology roles in Telstra.  Tim brings over 25 years of payments experience to the business.

Tim holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Operations and Technology Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management Sydney.


Craig Hayes –  Senior Vice President Business Operations

​​Craig Hayes is Senior Vice President, Business Operations for Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (PGS). In this role he is responsible for the payment acceptance and fraud platforms deployed globally within the PGS product suite, with regional teams in North America, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Mr. Hayes joined the Mastercard acquired company, Datacash, in 2013 as the General Manager of Operations, based in Cape Town, South Africa. Since then, Mr. Hayes has held various leadership positions within the PGS business unit as it expanded with the acquisition of the TNSPay business and the incorporation of the Mastercard Internet Gateways Services (MiGS) business. These responsibilities included the consolidation and transformation of the global customer support functions of the various combined businesses, for which Mr. Hayes won the Operations & Technology President’s Award: Grand Prize for Leadership Excellence in 2016.

Mr. Hayes holds a Master of Business Administration from Management College of South Africa, a Management Advancement Program certification from Wits Business School, and a Materials Engineering degree from University of Cape Town.


Davide Messina - Senior Vice President, Commercial European International Markets

Davide is responsible for Europe for all acceptance product suitcase including Gateway Services, Acceptance value added services and merchant led instalments, Low cost acceptance and acceptance optimization. His team is constituted by the Gateway European Product Management including Gateway Platform Product Support teams and the Acceptance Solutions team focused on the other line of Acceptance product. His team works closely with the local Mastercard acceptance development sales force and the Global Product team within Mastercard Payment Gateway Services.

Prior to this role, Mr. Messina was for 4 years in charge of Mastercard Gateway services for Europe and before for Asia Pacific and Middle East and Africa. Before joining Mastercard Payment Gateway Services Mr. Messina held several key roles within Mastercard, having joined the company in 2003 as a key account manager within the European Region.  As key account manager, he expanded the company's business in debit, credit and prepaid and paved the way for a strong and lasting global partnership with Italian largest banks.  Afterwards Mr. Messina’s headed up the European Regional Account Group (Central-Southern Cluster), comprised of five Pan-European banks based in Italy, France and Germany. After this experience he was head of Central Europe and HGEM for Merchants and Acceptance in Market Development and subsequently he was appointed as Head of New Business and Acceptance Development for Europe, signing with his team innovative deals with nontraditional players in several spaces, opening acceptance and central acquiring opportunities with retailers and parking companies as well as signing the transformative deal with in the B2B and travel space.

Davide graduated with honors in Economic studies at the University of Rome La Sapienza.

Joe Narsh - Senior Vice President - Group Head Operations & Technology Payment Services

Joe serves as the Operations and Technology Lead for the Mastercard Payment Gateway Services business unit. The global organization he oversees is responsible for software engineering, continuous IT Operations and Customer Operations.

Through his leadership, Joe is responsible for achieving the “best in class” standards in terms of security, effectiveness and efficiency while driving the transformation roadmap with the goal of supporting the business global expansion strategy.

Joe has held several other technical leadership positions across Mastercard including managing technical customer implementation activities for Mastercard products and services to overseeing mission-critical services and technical strategic planning for the company’s Internet properties, Fraud products, and the Mastercard User Experience Group.

Before joining Mastercard in 2001, he held various leadership positions in Commercial Markets at AT&T Solutions that spanned from systems architecture to managing customer relationships and AT&T Labs staff. He has built a successful career through a variety of assignments and leadership positions in the United States Marine Corps, including systems architecture and engineering roles.

In addition to his extensive background in telecommunications and project delivery, he is also involved with the Project Management Institute, IEEE and various IT forums. Joe also serves on the Board of Directors for the First Tee of Greater St Louis.

Hemal Parekh – Senior Managing Counsel, Products & Innovation

Hemal Parekh joined Mastercard Payment Gateway Services in January 2017 and has global responsibility for its legal and company secretarial needs.

In addition, Hemal is responsible for the legal affairs of Mastercard’s Acceptance division and is the European legal lead for Mastercard’s Core Products and Processing businesses. 

Hemal joined the Payment Gateway Services team from the prepaid management services division of Mastercard, where, in addition to leading the legal function, he managed a number of key issuing relationships and developed the division’s overall prepaid issuing strategy.

Prior to Mastercard, Hemal held various senior leadership roles at Travelex, the foreign exchange group, including Head of Legal for its Cards & Mobile Payments and Outsourcing divisions. Hemal holds an LLB in Law from the University of Exeter.


Martijn van Os - Senior Vice President, Product Management

Martijn leads a team of payments industry professionals responsible for developing and defining our world-class payment solution and meeting our customer’s expanding expectations. Martijn joined Mastercard in 2016 and before his current role has held several strategic roles for Payment Gateway Services helping shape and deliver our payment solution to customers across the globe

Prior to joining Mastercard, Martijn spent 11 years at Accenture working with customers to development and deliver their payments strategy.

Martijn holds a Master’s of Science in International Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
