Small and medium enterprises are big business

Offering a full suite of business solutions is a win-win for everyone

As small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are changing — going digital, embracing ecommerce, seeking smart, tailored tools to better manage their business and more ways to grow their revenue — 75% of SMEs are using digital services in their day-to-day operations. They're actively seeking a full suite of payments options, financial and business tools, benefits and rewards and are increasingly comfortable turning to fintechs, neobanks, "Big Tech" and other providers for those solutions.

To understand how we can better meet their needs, Mastercard commissioned two studies, surveyed more than 10 thousand SMEs, interviewed industry experts and turned to our own SME advisors for recommendations for best practices financial institutions to grow and deepen their SME relationships.
