Raghu Malhotra is an international business, technology, and finance executive with a proven track record in driving organizational impact and elevating growth and profitability.

He currently holds the position of President, Global Enterprise Growth, where he is focused on advancing strategic areas and addressing global trends to meet evolving customer needs and drive long-term, sustainable organic and inorganic growth.

Raghu is member of both Mastercard’s Executive Leadership Team, which sets and oversees the company’s strategy and priorities, and Mastercard’s Management Committee, which ensures the implementation and delivery of the company’s strategic priorities at a global scale.

Since joining Mastercard in 2000, Raghu has held several senior leadership roles. Most recently, he was co-president of International Markets where he advanced the company’s business strategy in more than 200 markets across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Prior to that, he served as President for Mastercard’s Middle East and Africa operations.

During the past two decades at Mastercard, Raghu has played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s growth strategy including multiple M&A initiatives, the development of Mastercard’s new operating model and diversifying Mastercard’s focus across a variety of areas such as cybersecurity, services and data, and AI. He has also diversified the customer base across various segments including governments, retail and commerce, SME, and fintech to mention a few.

During his tenure, Raghu has also been instrumental in expanding Mastercard’s collaboration with central governments, and forming significant partnerships that enhance the digital ecosystem. This has led to the development of interoperable financial networks in key markets, and several global “firsts” that are positively impacting the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

Before joining Mastercard, Raghu held a variety of roles at Citicorp, American Express and ANZ Grindlays Bank.

He holds/held a number of international Board-level positions in publicly listed firms, the private and CSR sectors including the U.S. President’s Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa, Network International, Junior Achievement Middle East (Injaz), the Dubai Chamber of Commerce International Advisory Council, the US-Africa Center US Chamber of Commerce, More than Capital and is a member of the World Economic Forum Africa Business Council.

Raghu is a respected public speaker and has received numerous prestigious accolades, including being named among the top business leaders by Forbes consecutively from 2014.

He holds an honors degree in Commerce and an MBA and is an alumnus of the University of Delhi, University of Melbourne, and Harvard Business School.
