Making an impact
Our people serve as a powerful force for good in the communities where we live and do business.
Whether we’re donating our professional expertise to nonprofits, serving as STEM mentors or through other interactive volunteer activities, Mastercard employees are making a difference around the world. To us, it’s simple: living our values and providing service to the community go hand in hand.
“Our volunteer initiatives show that even small groups can achieve great things when united by a common purpose.”

Advancing STEM
Mastercard’s Girls4Tech™ and Kids4Tech™ programs are inspiring students to build technology skills and become the leaders of tomorrow. Since the launch in 2014, we have reached over 12 million students.
In 2024, 9,000 Mastercard employees participated in our volunteerism and pro bono programs and volunteered 135,000 hours.
Supporting Canadian not-for-profits
Mastercard Changeworks™ is designed to support not-for-profits and their communities through grants and partnerships, hackathons and datathons and employee volunteerism.
Being there in times of disaster
We provide short-term aid and long-term relief, with some employees undergoing disaster response training and deploying with the American Red Cross.
Making it personal
Employees can use up to 5 volunteer days, redeem volunteer rewards and match donations up to $10,000, and their contributions are honoured during our annual CEO Force for Good Awards.
