Financial institutions are up against a new wave of fraud that’s faster, smarter and harder to stop. More and more, cyberattacks are red flags for potential fraud, making cyber-fraud integration essential.

In our latest research, commissioned by Mastercard and conducted by Datos Insights, 100 global fraud and risk leaders told us how they’re integrating. Here’s a sneak peek:

  • The landscape: Most leaders find out about data breaches only after fraud losses begin — and they recognize the clear need for cyber-fraud integration.
  • The challenge: Two in three leaders say operational silos are making it difficult to integrate, and many lack the right talent and tech resources.
  • The opportunity: Those that successfully integrate are reaping the rewards, with 81% seeing faster threat response.
