Giulio Rindi brings with him over 25 years of international finance, auditing and consulting experience working across financial services, travel, manufacturing and distribution, technology and payment industries across 3 continents in mature and emerging economies.
Giulio is currently the Chief Financial Officer, Commercial and New Payment Flows (CNPF) at Mastercard being responsible for all financial programs, initiatives, and deliverables across CNPF globally.
Prior to this role, Giulio was CFO for International Markets (Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East & Africa) and APEMEA. Giulio joined Mastercard in 2011 as Divisional Finance Officer managing UK & Ireland and then transitioned in increasingly broader roles becoming the Divisional Finance Officer for Western Europe, CFO Middle East & Africa in Dubai, CFO Latin America & Caribbean in Miami, CFO Europe in Bruxelles.
Before joining Mastercard, Giulio served as Finance Director, Global Foreign Exchange Services at American Express. He joined American Express in 2006 in London and during his tenure held a series of positions of increasing responsibilities in the Business Travel and Payment sector. Giulio served on the Board of Directors of UVET American Express, the Business Travel of American Express in Italy.
Giulio started his professional career in Germany in 1998 as an Assistant Auditor in BDO International and in 2001 joined the Pirelli Group where he became Group Controller of the Telecom Cables & Systems and led the finance function of the Business Unit through the sale of the business to a private equity group. He moved to the NewCo, which is today named Prysmian Cables & Systems Group and is listed at the Milan Stock Exchange (PRY).
Giulio graduated from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy with a major in International Business. He attended Executive Leadership Programs at Harvard and London Business School and volunteered for the Prince’s Trust foundation in the UK and other organizations in the UAE and the US. Giulio has been a speaker at the Finance MBA at LIUC University, Italy.
Passionate about sports in general, Giulio played football at regional level and founded a football team in Milan; a keen snowboarder, kite surfer, tennis and (aspirant) golf player, Giulio completed 5 ultra runs in the Alps.
