Ling Hai is chief financial officer at Mastercard, a member of the company's Executive Leadership Team and Management Committee, overseeing corporate finance functions spanning accounting, audit, corporate strategy, controller, M&A, investor relations, financial planning and analysis across business unit and regional finance, treasury and tax.
With more than three decades of experience across financial services, strategy consulting and business operations, Ling Hai brings a global perspective shaped by leadership role around the world.
Since joining Mastercard in 2010, he has played a key role in the company's international growth and transformation, most recently serving as president for Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa. Across that role and previous leadership positions, including co-president of International Markets, co-president of Asia Pacific, president of Enterprise Partnerships, and division president of Greater China, he led strategy, sales, business development, product management and engagement with customers and regulators across more than 150 markets.
Earlier in his career, Ling Hai held executive roles at Bank of America and HSBC and worked as a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton and A.T. Kearney.
He also has extensive board and advisory experience. Ling Hai is chairman of Wan Shi Wang Lian Network Technology (China), an independent director of Manulife (Canada), and a senior advisor to HongShan (Hong Kong). His previous service includes Cuscal, the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, and the College of Saint Rose in New York, where he served as a trustee.
Ling Hai graduated from the College of Saint Rose in New York and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
