Executive Vice President, Network Products and Real-Time Payments

Johan Gerber is executive vice president of Network Products and Real-Time Payments as well as a member of the company’s Management Committee.

During his more than 25 years at Mastercard, Johan has acquired a deep understanding of the scale, value and potential of our global networks, developing and scaling several real-time services across Mastercard and gaining hands-on insight into how these networks operate and deliver value.

Johan has gathered a wealth of experience at Mastercard, from franchise to a host of security leadership positions. Most recently Johan orchestrated the growth of Mastercard’s cybersecurity offering, spearheading the acquisition of several security tech companies and harnessing identity, data science and AI to diminish the criminal enterprise.

Prior to joining the company, Johan spent 10 years investigating organized crime and financial crime with the South African Police Services. He is a graduate of Rand Afrikaans University, holding a degree in Forensic Auditing & Accounting.
