U.S. Benefits

    Our Benefit Programs serve three main objectives: protect employees from risk (sickness, accidents, disability) that may result in substantial economic loss; provide employees with retirement benefits (savings and pension plans, as well as retiree healthcare) that offer economic security after employment; and help enable employees to successfully balance their work and family commitments.

    These benefits are for U.S.-based employees only. Benefits overviews for employees based outside the U.S. will be available soon.

    U.S. Health Benefits

    MasterCard offers a full range of healthcare benefits. Employees have access to healthcare in the forms of:

    • Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO)
    • Point of Service Plan (POS)
    • High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with a MasterCard-sponsored Health Savings Account (HSA)

    MasterCard provides in-network and out-of-network dental coverage, with diagnostic, preventative, restorative, and orthodontic services. MasterCard offers a choice of two plans:

    • Comprehensive Plan (PPO)
    • Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO)

    Provides access to in-network and out-of-network providers

    Life Insurance
    Employee Coverage:
    MasterCard provides a core level of Basic Life Insurance and the opportunity to purchase optional coverage.

    Dependent Coverage:
    Under the Benefits Program, MasterCard provides a core level of dependent life insurance coverage and the opportunity to purchase optional coverage.

    Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
    Under the Benefits Program, MasterCard provides a core level of AD&D coverage and the opportunity to purchase optional coverage.

    Business Travel Accident (BTA)
    MasterCard provides BTA insurance designed to protect you while you are traveling on company business.

    Flexible Spending Accounts / Child Care Subsidy
    Employees can set aside a portion of income on a pretax basis to pay for healthcare and/or dependent care expenses for a specific calendar year. In addition, MasterCard subsidizes a portion of your childcare costs through the Child Care Subsidy Program.

    Disability Programs
    Income Protection / Survivor Benefits - MasterCard offers short-term disability benefits and a core level long-term disability with the opportunity to purchase optional coverage.

    The MasterCard Savings Plan
    The MasterCard Savings Plan offers employees an excellent opportunity to invest for their future. The Plan offers two levels of participation:

    • Employee only contributions
    • Employee contributions with the company match
