Mastercard announces appointment of Minsook Cho as Country Manager for Singapore

FEBRUARY 27, 2026 | SINGAPORE

Mastercard today announced the appointment of Minsook Cho as Country Manager for Singapore. In this role, she will lead and oversee the company’s strategic direction and business operations in the market. She also partners with regional and global clients headquartered in Singapore, supporting cross-market and strategic initiatives.

As Country Manager, Cho will spearhead Mastercard’s efforts to support Singapore’s national digital payments growth and transformation roadmap, working closely with public and private sector partners to advance smart, secure, and inclusive payments solutions for consumers and businesses.

Cho brings over two decades of experience in payments, fintech, analytics, and consulting. She has been with Mastercard since 2013, previously serving as Senior Vice President, Advisors Client Services, Asia Pacific, where she led consulting, analytics, test & learn and managed services across major markets including Japan, Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

“Singapore is one of the most advanced and dynamic financial ecosystems in the region, and Mastercard is committed to supporting its continued growth,” said Safdar Khan, Division President, Southeast Asia, Mastercard. “Minsook’s experience in Data and Services, including enhancing business performance, elevating consumer experiences and enabling innovation, together with her deep understanding of the market, positions her to strengthen intelligence, security and interoperability across Singapore’s payments ecosystem. We are confident she will lead the next chapter of our journey in this mature and forward-looking market.”

Minsook Cho, Country Manager, Singapore, Mastercard, said, “I am honored to lead Mastercard’s business in Singapore, a market I have been deeply connected with for many years. Having spent over a decade driving data-driven strategies and advisory services across Asia Pacific, I look forward to leveraging this experience to deliver innovative, insight-led solutions that empower Singaporeans and accelerate the country’s digital innovation. Together with our talented team and trusted partners, we will continue building a secure, inclusive, and connected payments ecosystem for Singapore.”

Minsook’s appointment comes as Singapore accelerates its leadership in digital finance, with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) driving initiatives around tokenization, artificial intelligence, and a regulatory framework for stablecoins. Her background in data-driven advisory services and analytics will bolster these efforts aimed at future-proofing Singapore’s payments landscape and unlocking new opportunities for efficiency and inclusion.

Prior to joining Mastercard, she held senior leadership roles across Asia Pacific at Foodpanda, Lazada and Boston Consulting Group. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Seoul National University.
