2008 Women's Business Conference

The National Association of Women Business Owners' annual conference brings together women entrepreneurs from across the country looking to grow their businesses, advance their leadership skills, and create innovative and effective change in the business culture. Attendees can meet fellow women business owners from a wide variety of industries, areas of the country and business sizes.

SBO/SBEAP National Conference

The 2008 Small Business Ombudsman/Small Business Environmental Assistance Program National Conference is intended to help state SBO/SBEAPs, other small business assistance providers and small businesses work together to bring small businesses in compliance with environmental guidelines. There will be sessions on technical rule/policy updates, as well as program and personal development issues. Programs will offer the opportunity to network and share compliance assistance tools.

National Annual PowerNetworking Conference

Sponsored by FraserNet, the PowerNetworking Conference brings together African American professionals, business owners and community leaders from across the United States. Conference attendees will benefit from professional growth and development training through 34 workshops and panels. The event will also include two special presentations, a chance to meet top business leaders and plenty of networking opportunities.

Women in Business National Conference and Business Fair

More than 2,500 attendees and 400 exhibitors are expected to attend the 9th annual Women's Business Enterprise National Council National Conference and Business Fair. Women’s business enterprises, senior corporate executives, supplier diversity and procurement professionals, and government representatives will all have the chance to participate in networking activities, workshops, general sessions and special events.

4th Annual National Veteran Small Business Conference & Expo

Presented by the Veteran Small Business Federal Interagency Council, this four-day event will include updates on veteran small business legislation, information on veteran small business programs throughout the federal government, networking with key federal government procurement decision makers, effective business development strategies and tactics, and cutting edge information on strategic procurement trends.

OMSDC Business Conference & Opportunity Fair

The Oklahoma Minority Supplier Development Council is hosting its annual Business Opportunity Fair to promote partnerships and business opportunities between major corporations and minority businesses. This event brings together corporate, government and minority business representatives for the purpose of establishing business alliances and partnerships. Attendees will have access to networking, workshops, keynote speakers, special events and useful information.

Women's Leadership Exchange Conference

The Women's Leadership Exchange is hosting this conference to help women business owners grow their businesses, expand their professional networks and learn from business experts and one another. This year's program will feature speed coaching, guided networking, case studies and stories of growth. The conference will also include expert advice and workshops on topics like Internet marketing, growth strategies, management, technology and more.

NIH SBIR/STTR Conference

This two-day conference, organized by the National Institutes of Health will focus on how to tap into NIH's research and development funding resources for small businesses interested in biomedical and behavioral research. This conference will benefit those who are relatively new to the program, as well as those who are more experienced. This event is cosponsored and hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology, Enterprise Innovation Institute, the SBIR Assistance Program for the State of Georgia, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, and Georgia Bio.

2008 Business and Professional Women/USA National Conference

This conference, hosted by Business and Professional Women/USA, encourages working women to achieve success by offering information, resources and tools designed for the many transitions and phases of life. The conference will feature workshops on three different tracks: Mastering Work/Life, Take the Lead and Exercise Your United Voice. More than 1,000 women attend the conference each year.

2008 MHFA Talent Development Summit

The Multicultural Food and Hospitality Alliance will host food and hospitality industry leaders at this annual event. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about topics including: Talent Acquisition, Development and Retention, Career Enhancement for Diverse Talent, Strategies for Coaching and Leading Multicultural Talent, and Culturally-Competent Leader Development.
