The BRIT Awards is the UK’s most celebrated and exciting music event of the year and the 2008 show saw MasterCard's sponsorship of this prestigious event reach a magnificent 10 years!
The BRIT Awards 2008 was held on Wednesday 20 February at Earls Court 1 and was one of London’s finest music spectacles yet. The fantastic event was presented by the world’s favourite rock ‘n’ roll family the Osbourne’s. Sharon, Ozzy, Kelly and Jack took to the stage to introduce show stopping performances from Kylie, Mika, Kaiser Chiefs and Paul McCartney to name but a few.
In this memorable tenth year of sponsorship, MasterCard were once again the proud sponsors of the Best British Album category. This year it was the Arctic Monkeys who picked up the illustrious MasterCard Best Album Award with ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare’. Congratulations to the Arctic Monkeys! .

The BRIT Awards with MasterCard is held in honour of talent produced by the UK’s music industry and contributes a huge amount to the development of British music through BPI charity, The BRIT Trust and The BRIT School, supporting young people through music and education. Online voting has now closed, and the time has come to announce the winner of the "Priceless Dance Off".
Inspired by the "Dance Off" craze that is sweeping nightclubs across the country and taking the internet by storm; we invited members of the public to enter and compete in a quest to find the UK's most Priceless Dancer.
"The Priceless Dance-Off" saw over 600 hopefuls whittled down to five finalists through rounds of gruelling auditions. The Finalists' performances were then made into MasterCard TV ads and shown on ITV1 on the night of The BRIT Awards 2008, plus opened to the public vote online at www.pricelessdanceoff.com.
