Liability Protection

Because you’re only responsible for the transactions you make

If there’s been an unauthorised transaction in your account, your bank may have a liability policy in place to protect you.

To enjoy liability protection against unauthorised transactions:

  • Take reasonable care in protecting your card from loss or theft.
  • Promptly report any loss, theft or unauthorised use of your card to your bank when it happened.
  • Keep your account in good standing. This usually means paying your bills on time and keeping to your credit limit.
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the corresponding Cardholder agreement.
  • Speak to your bank to find out what other security features they have in place to protect you from fraudulent transactions.
