MasterCard International today announced the appointment of Joe Vukasovic as the Director of Security & Risk Services for New Zealand and Australia. Based in Sydney , Vukasovic will lead the development of MasterCard fraud prevention strategies in New Zealand and Australia and work with customer financial institutions and government agencies, including the newly created Banking & Finance Sector Investigations Team, in Canberra, to combat fraud. Vukasovic brings to MasterCard a wealth of experience in advising both the public and private sectors on fraud risk management practices. Formerly with the New South Wales Police Fraud Squad, Vukasovic has been involved with numerous credit card fraud and identity theft investigations. More recently, Vukasovic has conducted risk assessments for a number of organizations that have identified best practices and substantially reduced their exposure to fraud risk. A winner of the Michael O'Brien Fellowship, Vukasovic has studied with the United States Secret Service, Scotland Yard and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In addition, Vukasovic has been involved in the development of fraud policy's sitting on a number of working groups and committees. Vukasovic will be replacing Matthew Keaney. |
