Full Terms and Conditions

The Promotion is defined as the MasterCard Priceless Escapes Promotion and will award one prize winner a €20,000 holiday for two ("The Promotion").

1. The Promotion is open to Republic of Ireland (ROI) residents aged 18 years or over, holding a MasterCard card issued by an Irish financial institution, excluding employees and their families of MasterCard, its agents or anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion.
2. There will be 1 Promotional Period (PP), running from 1st July until 31st August 2008 (inclusive). Every point of sale transaction made outside the ROI in the Promotional Period will automatically enter the cardholder into the prize draw in the Promotional Period.
3. Due to international data handling and settling restrictions the actual prize draw will not take place until 10 days after the Promotional Period end date.
4. Start date of the Promotional Period is 01/07/08 and closing date of the Promotional Period is 31/08/08. Qualifying entries are those purchases made during the Promotional Period and 'No Purchase' entries received by the closing date of the Promotional Period. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for any entries lost or delayed for any reason whatsoever.
5. Prize Fund: the prize fund is a holiday worth €20,000 to be fulfilled by MasterCard’s travel partner. The Priceless Escape will consist of a tailor made trip for 2 people and includes travel and accommodation, spending money (maximum €1,000), concierge tailored Priceless experiences and travel insurance. The Promoter’s consultants will work with the prize winner to agree the content of the trip subject to the above financial limit and availability.
6. No purchase necessary Send your name and address and the first six numbers of your MasterCard card number to MasterCard Priceless Escapes Promotion, PO Box 11361, Dublin 4. Only one entry per stamped addressed envelope.
7. Opt-out: If you make a purchase using your MasterCard card and you do not wish to be entered into the prize draw, please write to MasterCard Priceless Escapes Promotion, PO Box 11361, Dublin 4.
8. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery. The Promoter is not liable for lost, damaged or late postal entries.
9. The draws will take place under independent supervision and the prize winners will be notified in writing within eight weeks of the Promotional Period. The prize winner will be the first entrant drawn in the draw whose name and eligibility can be verified with the entrant’s issuing financial institution. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into
10. Any individual's entry or win is subject to any prior agreement with his/her financial institution regarding participation in such activity. Lending terms and conditions apply to the use of your MasterCard. A full list of terms and conditions is available from your MasterCard issuer.
11. Prize winners will have four weeks from despatch of winning postal notification to acknowledge the prize. Failure to do this will result in the prize being re-drawn.
12. The prize must be taken by 30th September 2009 (excluding Christmas, Easter and all bank holidays). Other date restrictions may apply depending on prize selected.
13. The prize winner and companion will be responsible for any necessary travel permits, entry visas and inoculations. All travel, accommodation and other products and services provided to the prize winners and companions will be provided subject to the terms and conditions of each such provider. MasterCard will have no liability in relation thereto, and any dispute arising from travel, accommodation or services must be taken up with such providers.
14. The Promoter will not be held responsible for the prize winner and/or companion not taking advantage of the prize due to health or any other reason.
15. There is no cash or other alternative in whole or in part except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value. The prize must be taken by the prize winner in person unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter.
16. The prize winner and companion may be required to participate in related publicity.
17. Prize winners' details (names and addresses) are available by sending a stamped addressed envelope (SAE) to MasterCard Priceless Escapes prize winner PO Box 11361, Dublin 4 after 30th November 2008.
18. Entrants' personal data are processed by the Promoter, the controller of your personal data, and also by the Promoter’s agency involved in administering the Promotion. Entrants' personal data shall be processed for the purpose of your participation in the Promotion only and will only be retained as long as necessary for such purpose (i.e. until 3 months after the end of the Promotion). Entrants can request access to and/or rectification of their personal data. For these purposes entrants can contact the Promoter at the below address or by e-mailing privacy_europe@mastercard.com. By participating in the Promotion, entrants consent that their personal data may, for the same purpose as stated above, also be transferred to other entities of the MasterCard group of companies based in countries that, according to EU principles, do not provide an adequate level of protection of personal data and to Promoter’s third party contractors necessary to process entrants' participation in the Promotion.
19. By entering this Promotion, the participant will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions and be bound by them, and to have accepted them on behalf of their companion.
20. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or withdraw the Promotion as necessary in the event of exceptional circumstances outside its reasonable control.
21. In ROI this Promotion is operated pursuant to a Lottery License granted by the Dublin District Court to the Irish Youth Foundation
