1. The promotion is open to MasterCard Ireland cardholders, aged 18 years or over, who hold a registered ROI MasterCard, excluding employees and their families of MasterCard, their subsidiaries, other group companies, their agents, or anyone else professionally connected with this prize draw.
2. The promotion consists of a prize draw to win ‘an ultimate football, golf or rugby sporting prize package’
3. The promotion will run from 1st June – 30th September 2012 inclusive (“Overall Promotional Period”).
4. To enter the promotion, cardholders must visit www.mastercard.ie, during the Promotional Period and enter their details as requested on the pre registration page and also answer the skill based question: “Which city will host the UEFA Champions League Final 2013?” and press submit, cardholders who answer correctly must then spend on their MasterCard abroad/online before midnight on 30/09/2012 (“Closing Date”) to validate their entry into the prize draw. Cardholders will be required to input personal data to enter this promotion. Alternatively, cardholders can text the answer to the skill based question to 51687 to pre register for the promotion, and then cardholders must spend on their MasterCard abroad/online to validate their entry. Standard network rates apply to text entries. Please note that texts may not be included in all ‘text-inclusive’ packages.
5. Cardholders can enter the promotion in respect of a maximum of three separate qualifying transactions per day and each entry must be validated by a different card spend abroad or online during the Promotional Period, via text or website. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of 'script', 'brute force' or any other automated means, that person's entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
6. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. MasterCard (the “Promoter”) and its agencies for this promotion take no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
7. Numerous factors outside the control of the promoter may interfere with the operation of the website or the receipt of text messages. The promoter does not therefore guarantee continuous uninterrupted or secure access to the website, or that text messages will be safely received.
8. All entries must be received by midnight on 30/09/2012 (“Closing Date”).
9. The prize draw will take place under the supervision of an independent adjudicator and the winner will be notified by telephone or email within 5 working days of the end of the Promotional Period.

11. Prize winners will have 20 business days from first being contacted by telephone or email notification to:
Failure to do this will result in the prize being forfeit and the Promoter may at its absolute discretion award the prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original winner or dispose of the prize at its discretion without liability to the winners. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. Winner must take the 2012 elements of the football prize package before 20/12/2012 and is not valid over Christmas, New Year, Easter or Bank Holiday periods and the 2013 prize elements will be between 24/05//2012 - 26/05/2013. Winner must take the 2012 elements of the golf prize package before 20/12/2012 and is not valid over Christmas, New Year, Easter or Bank Holiday periods and the 2013 prize element will be between 17/07/2013 - 19/07/2013. Winner must take the full rugby prize package before 20/12/2012 and is not valid over Christmas, New Year, Easter or Bank Holiday periods. Failure to be able to attend the 2013 dates for the football and golf package will result in the prize being forfeit and the Promoter may at its absolute discretion dispose of the prize without liability to the winner.
13. Winners and/or companions agree to participate in related publicity accompanying or resulting from the promotion without further recompense. This may include but is not limited to photographs and or film taken which may be used for publicity purposes and on MasterCard UK’s website or social media sites. Winners may be required to sign a disclaimer to this effect in order to receive their prize.
14. By accepting the prize, the winner is agreeing to adhere to the terms and conditions of any venue used in the fulfilment of the chosen prize package which are available upon request after the Closing Date.
15. There is no cash or other alternative for the prize in whole or in part except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the right to substitute for the prize another prize of equal or greater value at the choosing and discretion of the Promoter.
16. Travel insurance is not included in any of the prize package options. It is however a requirement for the winner to organise travel insurance for themselves and their guest for the football and golf prize packages. In addition, for the football and golf prize packages the winner is responsible for ensuring both they and their guest have a valid passport/EEA card to ensure easy entry in to the UK.

18. The Promoter will not be held responsible for the prize winners and/or companions not taking advantage of the prize due to health or any other reason.
19. To the fullest extent possible in law, neither MasterCard nor agencies involved in this promotion will be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating to this promotion.
20. If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions by an entrant, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant from the Promotion.
21. Sale, transfer or exchange of any part of the prize package is strictly prohibited. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or declare void any and all prize elements if this term is not complied with.
22. The winner and his/her companion must be aged 18 or over.
23. The Promoter reserves the right to verify any entry at their discretion.
24. The Promoter reserves the rights to vary these terms and conditions or cancel the promotion at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control.

27. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
28. Entrants' personal data is processed by MasterCard the Promoter, the controller of your personal data, and also by the Promoter’s agency involved in administering the Promotion. Entrants' personal data shall be processed for the purpose of their participation in the Promotion only and will only be retained as long as necessary for such purpose (i.e. until 3 months after the end of the Promotion).
