Q: How can I get a MasterCard card?

A: MasterCard cards are issued by all major financial institutions. To find the MasterCard card that best suits your need, please see our product section, where you will find information and links to contact those issuing Banks.

Q: Are MasterCard cards accepted globally?

A: Yes, MasterCard is accepted around the world at retail outlets and ATM machines, where you see the MasterCard (or Maestro/Cirrus, depending on the card you have) sign. Currently, you can use your card in more than 32 million locations worldwide.

Q:Who should I call if I have problems with my MasterCard card?

A: If you experience problems with your card either domestically or abroad, you should contact your issuing bank, whose number will be printed on the back of your card. You can also call our free-phone global Cardholder Services number.

Q: What is a Maestro card?

A: This is a debit card that is linked to your current account with your bank, i.e. when you use it, the funds are debited straight from your current account. It can be used at retailers or ATMs wherever you see the Maestro sign.

Q: What should I do if I have lost or had my card stolen?

A: If your card is lost or stolen, you should contact your issuing bank immediately. As a precaution, we suggest that you keep a note of this number separate from your cards/wallet. For help when abroad please see Cardholder Services and contact the number for the country you are in.
