MasterCard is offering Hong Kong cardholders a more secure and convenient payment service to give them a truly "one card does all" payment means when they are on the road. Working with Travelex, it has launched the MasterCard Cash Passport Prepaid Currency Card that promises cardholders a new and more effective way to experience "priceless" moments.

The new prepaid currency card was unveiled in Hong Kong by the world's largest currency exchanger Travelex and MasterCard in September 2011. With the card providing double-protection from the chip and security PIN, customers can withdraw respective local currencies at ATM machines and retail outlets overseas or shop online. It is a more secure payment means than the paper travelers' check and cash payment and has more versatile applications, sparing cardholders from the inconvenience typical of other payment methods.

The MasterCard Cash Passport Prepaid Currency Card is secure, convenient, re-loadable and easy to manage. Its round-the-clock customer service hotline is one of its outstanding security features, offering services including emergency cash and free re-issuance of lost or stolen card to give cardholders peace of mind while travelling. One only needs to produce the card and an identity document with his or her photograph to reload the card at any agents or retail outlets. Management of the card is also a breeze. Cardholders can log on to the official website www.cashpassport.com to access their expense records or the balance on their cards.

The card currently supports six major currencies including United States dollar, Euro, British pound, Japanese Yen, Australian dollar and Hong Kong dollar. It can be used at more than 1.9 million ATMs bearing the MasterCard® logo and more than 31.4 million retailers around the world.
