Forming a Successful Partnership:

Britain’s leading bed retailer, Dreams - a MasterCard Payment Gateway Services customer for a number of years - appointed Session Digital to revitalise its online presence and reflect Dreams’ in-store experience within a virtual environment to ensure customers are consistently treated as individuals. Following a comprehensive process, the eCommerce agency was selected to develop a new website that would not only increase sales and provide a genuine multi-channel experience, but also allow customers to complete the payment in a safe, quick, and uncomplicated manner.


The Website Launch:

The new website was launched on the 28 Nov 2011 and was an overnight success, improving overall customer experience and leading to an instant increase in traffic. Dreams’ online shop is now fully integrated with the company’s back office and aligned with their existing social media strategy. It provides customised product recommendations, intelligently responds to customers’ different buying habits and recognises the impact of their location on decisions whether to purchase online or in-store. The previous Dreams website received fairly high traffic volumes but suffered from a low conversion rate. As well as a 58% (YOY) increase in traffic levels, the new platform enhanced user experience, purchase journey and catalogue navigation, which resulted in a significantly increased conversion rate.

The Checkout:

Keeping up with eCommerce growth often requires merchants to utilise up to five separate payment gateway providers in order to support different payment types, multiple currencies, various geographic markets and value-added services (such as fraud and risk management).
