Introducing Little Fans in Big Seats™
Little Fans in Big Seats is a national MasterCard Canada program that gives kids a chance to see their favourite hockey teams play live from some of the best seats in the house.
We’ve partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada as well as other children’s organizations to send kids and their mentors to watch their heroes play live – a priceless experience for any child.
Starting with the 2009/2010 hockey season, MasterCard is dedicating 100% of its hockey sponsorship tickets to Little Fans in Big Seats, including premium tickets to:
- Professional hockey games in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Edmonton;
- The annual MasterCard Memorial Cup, North America’s toughest championship;
- Priceless hockey experiences at the new MasterCard® Centre for Hockey Excellence™.
Our goal is to send over 3,000 kids and adult mentors to games across Canada this hockey season. Together with the generous support of our donating Corporate Sponsors, we can prove the difference a game can make.
The Reason Is Simple. The Kids Deserve It.
Some kids come from single parent households where the absence of a role model can leave them in need of a mentor. And with some families struggling to provide the bare essentials, hockey games aren’t high on the list of household priorities.
But that won’t stop us from making a change.
Sporting events are more than just games. They can be a source of inspiration to kids, foster the creation of some of life’s most priceless experiences, while providing opportunities for kids and adults to spend meaningful time together in a unique way.
Little Fans in Big Seats is about putting more kids back in the premium seats.
