MasterCard Canada Team Member Wins ACT Canada’s 2008 Champion’s Award

Jeff Stroud named Payments Industry Champion

TORONTO, October 27, 2008 – MasterCard Canada is pleased to announce that Jeff Stroud, Director, Advanced Payments, has won ACT Canada’s 2008 Champion’s Award. Founded in 1997, the Champion’s Award is awarded to individuals who have had a significant impact in expanding the Canadian payments industry.

“It is a great pleasure to be given this prestigious award,” says Jeff Stroud, Director, Advanced Payments, MasterCard Canada. “It’s an exciting time for electronic payments in Canada, and I am proud to be able to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry.”

With over 17 years of payments industry experience, Mr. Stroud is easily one of the most recognized industry experts on chip technology. For the last two years, he has been involved with MasterCard Canada’s migration to chip technology.

Mr. Stroud holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics for Commerce from York University and a Programmer Analyst diploma from Honeywell Institute for Continuing Studies. Mr. Stroud currently holds the designation of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
