MasterCard Canada Team Member Wins Professional Excellence Award

Daniel Monehin receives Professional Excellence Award from Planet Africa

TORONTO, October 23, 2008 – MasterCard Canada is pleased to announce that Daniel Monehin, Vice President, Finance, has won the Professional Excellence Award from Planet Africa, a global organization that is committed to reflecting the best of people of African heritage while contributing to the community they live in. Planet Africa Awards are presented each year to leaders of the African community worldwide who demonstrate leadership, excellence and professionalism.

As Vice President, Finance, Mr. Monehin leads the finance function for MasterCard Canada including all aspects of financial planning, analysis, reporting and taxation. Mr. Monehin has over 16 years of experience spanning financial services, hi-tech and manufacturing industries.

Mr. Monehin has a Masters of Business Administration degree from Queen’s School of Business, Queen’s University and is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He also holds a B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
