- The Promotion begins on 1st May 2009 and ends on 30th April 2010 (the "Promotion Period").
- MasterCard will draw: -
- A total of 208 Carrefour vouchers will be issued with a prize value of LE 1,500 to the winners
- MasterCard CIB cardholder winners will receive a prize value of LE.3,000
- Purchase of LE. 300 is required to obtain a weekly draw coupon.
- Participants must write their full name, first 6 digits of a credit card, bank name, and telephone number clearly on the raffle coupon
- Participant must be a MasterCard cardholder, and the account must be in good standing.
- Proof of identity is required, together with the coupon portion carrying a winning serial number, in order to claim prizes
- Employees and owners of MasterCard and Carrefour are not eligible to participate
- Prizes are valid for 1 year from the date of receipt and are not redeemable, transferable or exchangeable
- The last date to be eligible to participate in the weekly draw is the day before the weekly draw
- Raffle draws will be conducted under the supervision of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce
- Draw timing: MasterCard will hold the Draw on or shortly following the end of every week for each month for the duration of the promotion period
- MasterCard shall be entitled to cancel the Draw or declare the Draw as being void if it deems that impropriety has taken place or where MasterCard deems it necessary for any other reason
- Unless excluded under these terms and conditions, or as may be otherwise agreed by MasterCard in writing, the Draw will be undertaken by MasterCard. MasterCard will only be obliged to provide the Prize to the winner if the winning entry is verified by the production of the Cardholder’s MasterCard card and valid identification. MasterCard reserves the right to withhold payment of the Prize until it is entirely satisfied as to the validity of the relevant cardholder’s claim.
- The Prize shall only be transferable at MasterCard’s sole discretion, but MasterCard reserves the right at any time to substitute the Prize with another of a similar nature and value.
- The following may not participate in the Draw:
- Anyone under the age of 18 years (or such other higher age above which the applicable law requires the participant to be in order to lawfully participate in the Draw). The relevant date on which the participant’s age is calculated from for the purposes of this clause is the date of the start of the Promotion Period (see clause i).
- Directors and employees of MasterCard, Carrefour or any companies or agencies directly connected with the creation and administration of the Draw or their families;
- Personal partners and persons who are, wholly or partly, maintained by one of any of the persons referred to in clause ii(b);.
- Any person who is not permitted to participate in the Draw in the jurisdiction in which they are located and/or where the Draw is held;
- Any person who notifies MasterCard that it does not wish to, or is not legally entitled to, participate in the Draw; and
- Anyone who does not meet any other criteria, which are specified by MasterCard from time to time.
- MasterCard may change these terms and conditions, the Promotion and/or the Draw or any part thereof at anytime. All such changes shall be binding and will take effect immediately.
- If any part of these terms and conditions shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed to be severable from these terms and conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining provision of these terms and conditions.
- No waiver by MasterCard of any of these terms and conditions shall be construed as a waiver of any preceding or succeeding breach of any of these terms and conditions.
- The Promotion, the Draw and the respective rights and obligations of the parties hereto shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York and the courts in the State of New York shall have exclusive jurisdiction to decide any matter or dispute arising there from.
